I'm looking for Windows 3.1/DOS drivers for the Thinkpad 701c. I have video and audio, so I'm mostly looking for PCMCIA card services and any other drivers I may need. Any help would be appreciated.

Visit http://download.lenovo.com/ibmdl/pub/pc ... 0index.txt

Then search (Ctrl+F) for 701C and find all relevant files you wish to download and then just append these filenames to the above url to download them.

Apparently the audio driver I found was completely unrelated to the ES688 that is in the Thinkpad 701c... Can someone help me find the audio driver for Windows 3.1? It doesn't seem to be on the server linked above

I haven't tried them yet but I believe the 3.1 audio disks are af701wi1.exe af701wi2.exe.

I tried those and finally have working audio in Windows 3.1. However, those disks did nothing for DOS. How would I install the sound drivers in DOS?

My assumption would be that you'd have to do it via the config.sys and/or autoexec.bat files. Is there any documentation provided with those driver packages (I.e., a "readme.txt" file)?

From memory, configuring a sound card was one of the messier things you had to do under DOS. Selection of interrupt signal and address is critical.

Sadly the readme only has directions for installing the drivers in 3.1, 95, and OS2.

Perhaps a more generic driver like this one may work?

I'm currently still setting up the NT4 side of my multi-boot so I haven't tested the 3.x/Dos drivers yet.
