Base covers the same?

#1 Post by anneortim » Fri May 20, 2005 4:22 pm

I want to buy a new (good used) base cover for my TP600 because some of the port covers are damaged on mine. Is the base cover for a 600 the same as a 600E? There are several base covers on ebay, but they all claim to be correct for both 600 and 600E. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I just want to make sure before I buy one. TIA

I've never had a 600, but have had two 600E's and two 600X's. All 600/E/X connect to the UltraBase 600, so they should have the same connector cover.

Just to be sure though, go to the FAQ on this site and get the Hardware Maintenance Manuals for the 600 and 600E and look up the part numbers. You might then want to come back and post what you find so others can look it up too.
