LCD question/ can you 'mess' with Liquid Crystal layer??

#1 Post by cyberfilmmaker » Sun May 22, 2005 7:59 pm

Hi ,

at the moment I am working a Thinkpad 600.

It's LCD screen has dirt stuck on it's Liquid Crystal surface [the thin layer between the glass and blackish LCD layer].

My question is now can you open these two panels that seem to be glued to each other and clean this liquid crystal layer or would you destroy it by doing so?

Many thanks.
CF
