New here - IBM PS NOTE 425?

#1 Post by FB400 » Sun Nov 16, 2014 9:47 pm

As the title implies, I just found this forum registered. A few hours ago my wife unearthed an IBM PS NOTE 425 from the closet.

I have no recollection of ever seeing this machine before.

Asking if anyone could please educate me on this unit.
Is this thing worth keeping for any reason? general specs?

It boots up after warning about needing a CMOS battery but aside from that it works fine. The orginal battery even takes a charge

Thanks all

Tom

Admin note: Moved from T400/T500 conference to Legacy, although it appears to be a pre-Thinkpad similar to a 350.

Welcome to the forum Tom! :)

It is a pre thinkpad laptop. Almost identical to thinkpad 350. 25MHz Intel i486SL processor. As for specs, absolutely useless today, interesting for collectors only. I have 2 of those. Hope this helps :)
