310 ED original W95 image or recovery cd. Trying to locate.

#1 Post by tomstarich » Sat Jun 19, 2004 8:02 pm

I have an old 310 ED it looks like it will be a road warrior doing intenet from dial ups a machine for the car. The hard disk size is discouraging at a whopping 1.51 GB with 16Mb of memory and a pentium 133Mhz. The cost of hard drive and memory force me to not consider upgrading because the best it will be able to do will be sad. So it needs to be recovered with the original image which will no doubt run the best on it.

Linux mabe but I have no experience with Linux or getting drivers or install and use of Linux. Just heard it has small system requirments and is sometimes a good candidate for legacy machines.

There is a very small chance you'll be able to find an original recovery CD. Just simple get Windows 95 or 98 from Ebay, and install the drivers from here. You can find instructions on how to install Windows 98 here.
