What is the correct look of this cover and screw, HDD caddy looks like for the thinkpad 600?

Reason I asked since got a 600E with missing HDD caddy also missing cover with screw stuff and other 600 without HDD also missing the screw as well.

Cheers, thinkpadcollection

Hmm.. all of the photos that I can find on eBay at the moment don't show a good image of the HD cover screw. From memory, it's a big one. It has a wide slot on the head where you could use a coin to loosen/tighten it. If nobody else posts a picture, I'll grab one of my 600 systems when I get home.

Note that the caddy should have a pull-tab on it. The drive slides into the bay and the cover goes over. It's not like some designs which has the cover held in place by the caddy screws and then you insert the whole thing.

You can see what the covers look like by entering this as an eBay search string: (ibm, thinkpad) (600,600e,600x) (hard,hd,hdd) cover

Also the cover should have a small plastic tab which you should use when using 9.5mm height drives. The 600 HD bay can accept 12mm thick drives but hardly anyone has those nowdays. If you use a 9.5mm drive and the tab is missing on the cover, I believe that the hard drive may flop around inside the bay (up and down near the cover end).

edit: Just remembered I post this: http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.ph ... 27#p651027 (dimensions for 600X HD screw)

Thank you for replies, what I need a correct hard drive cover with screw hole not the common snap latch that I see often on ebay.
The thinkpad 600 series have molded screw rails for the screw heads to ride on. To substitute metal caddy with pull tab, I ordered T500 style type instead.
