Does a thinkpad 755 boot when its missing a ram battery? I put it in the docking station and it just keeps on beeping. Thanks

If you don't have a CMOS battery, it should still be able to run POST but it might not boot.

The 755 has three batteries, the CMOS for storing time and system settings, standby so you can switch main batteries while the computer is unplugged and main so you can use the computer away from an outlet.

For the video, plug in an external monitor and see if it gives any video on that.
