I have a 760E running Windows 98SE opetating system. I would like to use this computer on my wireless network. What do I need to purchase to make this happen? I believe the PCMCIA slots are 16 bits.
Thanks for your help
Merle

I can't really remember whether the 760 series were CardBus compatible or not, and since my 760E/XD are in Europe, I can't check them, but I think they are CB compatible. Well, a .11b wireless card (16bit) will definetely work with it. You won't find a .11g 16bit card. They are only available in CB form. But IMO .11b will be just fine.

Ok, question then

If the 11g spec is only in cardbus format, that mean that my 380z is cardbus compatiable, right? I have a Motorola 11g card that works fine on my 380z and I was just wondering.

The 380Z is cardbus 32bit and zoom video compliant.

Yep, 380Z is CardBus compatible. From IBM's 380Z product information site:
"PCMCIA: The Type III slot can accommodate either two Type I, two Type II, or one Type III PC card. Both 16-bit and 32-bit cards are supported. Both PCMCIA slots contain a ZV port."
There is no point to have a 16bit G card, since the 16bit bus can only achieve about 20-25 Mbps, and .11g can operate with speeds up to 54 Mbps.

G-Man - the upper slot should be CB compatible.
