Hey guys, i kneed a little help with overclocking the 600E

Hey guys, my 600E only reads 500Mhz with a 600MHz cpu, can any one provide me the links and risks to overclocking.

I do not have any links or suggestions, however there was some talk a bit ago here about such things. As I recall, the ability to bump the CPU was miniscule at best. I don't think any risk would be worth the gain. Your best bet is a FAST HD and maximum ram. On the other hand, you MIGHT be able to put a different CPU in there and gain a bit, but again, I think it is such a small gain as to really not be worth it.

I THINK that has something to do with the power management....If you go into power Management and set it to ALWAYS ON....it will run the CPU at full speed all the time...if it is a speedstep CPU....and I THINK there may be a setting in the Bios to turn Speedstep on or off.....

Where are you getting the speed reading from? WinXP underreports the speed of my T22 CPU, but Sisoft Sandra reports the speed correctly.

Yes xp dose cut you short a few Mhz, my system only reads 498Mhz
Powerleap says 500MHz, Yes powerleap says it's speed step,
