Re: IBM ThinkPad Transnote
It would depend on if the unit in question is complete with all accessories and how fully it functions. Dead primary batteries, sub batteries, missing pens and poor folio shape are all common "defects" that would detract from the value. For a unit that powers up and boots to Windows, regardless of accessories (assuming HDD included) or cosmetic shape I would say $150 on up just because the motherboard works and is free of the infamous CRC1 error.
Considering how hard they are to find with all the accessories, in working original condition, (and working batteries)... and seeing how infrequently complete/working systems come up for sale... I don't think I'd part with mine for less than $400 since it is, aside from a somewhat banged up pen cap, complete and fully functional in all regards.
The only record of a TransNote selling on eBay was a couple months ago at $350 - but had a bad LCD display.

The battery on the unit is dead and on the pen, otherwise the computer comes with Microsoft Windows 2000 professional, and all the manuals.

Re: IBM ThinkPad Transnote
If your intention is to sell that, I'd say $400 US is a good place to start, possibly $450 if it's in 9/10 or better cosmetic condition and if it goes to the right buyer. AAAA batteries for the pen are fairly easily sourced and the main battery for the unit can also still be bought as NOS, or at least this was the case several months ago. The sub-battery for the ThinkScribe cannot be bought anywhere but can be custom rebuilt (I have a thread on that) with some moderate skill with a soldering iron...

Re: IBM ThinkPad Transnote
Picked up a Transnote (almost completely taken apart) from eBay for $20 back in 2010
Flogged it (fully working) here on the forum for $125 in early 2011.
Had quite a hard time (nearly a month) getting rid of it then!
