486 series based in Thinkpad 365

#1 Post by thinkpadcollection » Tue Mar 15, 2016 3:33 pm

1. How is the video performance on CT65545?

2. Had anyone attempted to swap out cyrix 5x86c 100 to intel 486DX4 100? (motherboard is socketed). Never mind, I found out that IBM 5x86c is really pretty good, almost inherited all the pentium features.

Cheers, thinkpadcollection

I have 365ED and I think 5x86 is the best CPU you can get for retro stuff, in terms of full 486 backwards compatibility and near to early pentium performance.
