Games on 600e

#1 Post by Mantas » Tue Jun 14, 2005 1:19 am

Hi guyes,
What games do you play with your 600e? I've tried railoroad tycoon 2 yesterday, it went just perfectly and crisp, but 600e soon got so hot I got scared and turned it off

I managed to sort windows out in that order 600e not get hot during normal office work, but it heats up too much with 100% cpu usage.

Do you even play games, what games, and how do you fight heat caused by games? I doubt motherboard would live long enough after extensive play...

mobilemeter shows 68c cpu, and 40c case temp.

Hey, I play age of empires 2 really great!. I have issues with the cooling desinge on the 600s, I have souped of fans, and mine stays pretty cool no matter what, I have 2 thermal pads, and a 600X Fan, they have more power cause a 600X gets hotter, thus more cooling power.
Thanks

I've got a black aluminum alloy "board" that was made to quickly defrost frozen meats. The only thing is it will work "in reverse" if you place something warm on it! It's the right width for the laptop and sucks the heat right out of it. Just a big heat sink is all it is. I guess with something cold on it it draws in more heat, but with something hot on it does the opposite. Anyway, it works extremely well! I was surprised at first.
