WiFi 802.11g for Thinkpad 380xd?

Hi, all. I'm seeking a wireless card for my new-to-me 380xd. It has a Cardbus interface, and I just finished getting 98SE sorted on it, so I guess I'm trying to find a Cardbus with a Windows 98se driver available. I want it mostly for transfer of files from other computers through my network, instead of running ethernet around. No, I'm not planning on surfing with it, lol.
Here's the caveat: I don't want a B card, I want at least a G card for the extra speed. As G came out in 2003 and the OS was only 4 at the time, it seems like there might be some with appropriate drivers available (I'm assuming the N cards that came out in 2009 wouldn't have drivers for an 11-year-old, 4x replaced OS like 98se). I have a Linksys, but that won't even work on my Windows 2000 laptop.
I'm open to USB, PCMCIA or any other options you can think.
Thanks,
--Bob

I have an IBM 802.11abg Wireless CardBus Adapter, but the drivers are for 2000 and XP. I was not able to get it to connect via modern WPA2-PSK [AES], only WPA.
I also have a Netgear MA401 Wi-Fi 802.11b Wireless PCMCIA Card that works with Win95b and Win98 (and NT, ME, 2K, etc.), but the best I can connect to is again via WPA.
They work for a unsecure guest network or hotel/airport/coffee shop connection, but that is the limit of my success with them.

Hmm. I was hoping to avoid B for speed reasons, but I'm seeing that tracking down something with the right drivers might be a PITA... I think I'll go with Ethernet for now and go wireless by biding my time on eBay or wherever... But for days I don't feel like running Ethernet everywhere, a B is still better than nothing.
Anybody else have thoughts?

I am pretty sure that I have some PCcard 802.11g cards by Micradigital and Belkin with W98 drivers to match. I also have a Sagem USB adapter. Trouble is I am away from home until early April so if you can wait til then I can confirm what I have then.
As far as I remember W98 only supports WPA encryption which may put you off the idea unless you have a dual band router or can install a separate access point for WPA.

The drivers won't work at all; 2k is a completely different operating system. You're going to have a tough time finding a wireless G adapter that works in 98, I'd stick to a Lucent WaveLAN card and use a PCMCIA Compact Flash adapter to move files over.

The Netgear WPN511 has drivers (V1.4) for 98, ME, W2K, XP, while V2.0 and V2.1 are for newer OS versions

I might be late for this already, considering that last post was a month ago, but use a TP-Link TL-WN610G! It works decently, supports Windows 98, and most of all, is compatible with the Linux kernel. As a bonus, it's also Stallman compliant with the free reverse engineered drivers. I've tested the card in a few bunch of CardBus systems so far, and it works without a hitch.
