Tips and Tricks for Thinkpad 240X

I'm thinking about getting a Thinkpad 240X for basic web browsing, light retro gaming(emulators and W9x games) and a little low-def YouTube through as another forum member recommended. Any tips for getting started? Upgrade for internal WiFi (a,b,g)? System-board upgrade to 240Z? Any positives and negatives?

You'll have to install your own antennae...not that it can't be done...
System-board upgrade to 240Z?
I'd be curious to find out how you plan to get your hands on one of these...
Any positives and negatives?
They are adorable little machines - apart from the "original" 6-row keyboard - but are best left to retro-gaming IMO...

Good luck web browsing with 256MB max RAM and 450MHz Celeron or 500MHz P3 processor.
Regarding wifi, try finding a Cardbus one. Same for USB 2.0.

I agree with ajkula66. Retrogaming is the most you can do with it.

Oh well, atleast it can still be the little Thinkpad that could, or does that title go to the PC110?

For the 6 row keyboard, it had a reason for that. On a 10.4" 4:3 lcd fitting a keyboard is not easy (701c). On a 17" 16:9 there isnt a single reason in the world It cant have just as many buttons as a IBM 122 key keyboard.
