365CD vs 365XD tell apart?

#1 Post by Thinkpad4by3 » Tue Jul 25, 2017 8:56 am

Is there a way to tell the difference between a 365CD and 365XD just by looking at the Laptop and not powering it on?
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

The front of the machine (where the status indicators are) will say "365CD", "365XD" or whatever model it is on that indicator strip :) (I think some 365s are unmarked however, namely the lower end models like plain, CS or C)
Current: T440p (Win10), W500 4058-CTO (Win10), T61 8892-01U (Win2000), Semi-Retired: T61 8892-01U (Win10)
Museum/Retired: T400, Z60m, T43, T42, T30, T23, A30, A31p, 600X, 600E, 380ED, 770Z, 560Z, 765D, 755CX, 755CD
Others: Dell D630, MacBook Pro Mid-2012, PowerBook G3 Pismo, AlBook 15"/1.5G

Yeah, one problem. The one that I'm looking at has had the indicator tag worn off.
