TP 775C hard drive removal?

I just received a working 755c 486 TP with a 245mb hard drive. I have an old 386 desktop that I want to ghost the drive to this laptop, but I need to remove the laptop's hard drive adn plug in into a desktop (i have an adapter already). I dont know how to get to the hard drive. Help please
oops I have this in the wrong forum, can an Admin please move this to the proper forum, legacy forum.

There are releases on both sides of the keyboard. Use them to open the keyboard and swing it up so you can access the HDD, Floppy and Memory. There are wire clamps that you have to lift to release the drives. The HDD is inclosed in a caddy which you have to open to access the drive.

Ok, I 'll try that, I have come across another problem in the process, this hd removal should be done without any power, but this unit has a battery. How do I remove the battery?

to remove the battery, slide it 1/16 inch toward front and lift rear of battery with the fabric tape (attached to rear of battery)
AND
please fix your email so it will not reject system emails from this forum..
until than, i have turned your notifications OFF..
and i will move this to legacy hardware..

The battery is under the keyboard. It's the (usually) white plastic thing in the middle.
