Thinkpad 500 Motherboard

#1 Post by Thinkpad4by3 » Mon Dec 11, 2017 9:33 pm

Does anyone ave pictures of the Thinkpad 500 motherboard. I want to know if the CMOS battery is easily replaceable because it I found a Lexmark SE10 on eBay that uses the 99% of the TP 500 parts and I dont want to deal with another CMOS debacle that 2 of my other machine have had.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Page 100 of the maintenance manual shows the procedure for replacing the backup battery. Looks pretty simple to me.

SE10 what? (mental splutters) Looked on ebay and not there.

mean by thinkpad EDGE E10/E11? Both can come in either AMD or 1st gen i core only. Both use plug in battery coin. I always replace them with new every time for peace of mind, and only cost few dollars from ebay.

Cheers, thinkpadcollection

I dig eBay to the very bottom: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-comput ... SwH3haLaZv

Please don't bid on it :)

And CigarGuy -- Good point. Thanks. BTW thats the T500/W500. I'm talking about the Thinkpad 500 fr0m 1993, not 2009

If you have a few extra $$$ (and lots of space), look at this: https://www.ebay.com/itm/152778302506
