Help with 560z Floppy Drive

#1 Post by nabby » Sun Jun 26, 2005 4:32 am

Hi all.

I have and olf 560z - which I bought an internal/external flopyy drive for.
The drive works perfectly externally - it slide out of its caddy to become internal - but I cannot see anywhere on the 560z where it can be inserted - sure there's a couple of pcmcia slots but there isn't enough room for a floppy drive in there - I can't see anywhere where an internal floppy could possibly be placed...
Is it possible that the 560z was designed NOT to house an internal floppy drive? Or am I missing something?

Nope, the drive you are describing is for a 600. The 560 line had no internal bay for such a thing. It should work just fine externally.
