Ultrabay Zipdrive in a 760CD?

#1 Post by farmer kev » Mon Jun 27, 2005 8:25 pm

Snagged a VST zip drive that fits my 760CD, wasn't even sure such a thing was made till I found it, in the model number area it just says ZIPIBM. From other reading I assume this can't be a boot drive, what might I have to do to get proper function? Last time I messed with Zip drives was almost 8 years ago and that was a printer port unit.
Thanks, kev

I saw one on sale in google's cache at Dec 2004. These things are rare. I think is better off to use pcmcia zip instead

I'dd prefer an internal Ls-120 drive, I have seen them slim enough to fit my 755CX.

I actully have a good supply of both 2.88 floppys and Superdrive floppys.
Even some 640 and 230mg 90mm magneto optical discs!
I can't walk in and get them at Staples now but then they never did have a good price on them anyway.
