Differences between 380CE and 380ED

#1 Post by Think700 » Sat Oct 13, 2018 5:04 pm

Hi all,

I have been collecting IBM thinkpads for the past few months. I now am the proud owner of ~10 old beauties.
Anyway, I have a question, which might be silly/easy to answer, but since I can't find the answers online, I decided to try here :-)

I have both a 380CE and a 380ED.
For the 380ED I could find plenty of information online, but strangly I can find very little on the 380CE.
Would any of you happen to have some information, like specs and release dates for this model please?

Thnx

Martin

Afaik the 380CE doesn't exist.

The 360CE does, but that's a completely different machine.
There is the 380E. And the only difference is the 380ED has a faster processor and a bigger HDD.
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply!
I was thinking the same, but after your reply I decided to go check one more time.
I feel pretty stupid now, haha.. In my defence I can say its a rather odd looking 6, with only a very small gap on the right, which makes it a 6 and not an 8.
So, yes, mystery solved... Its a 360 haha.. :)

Thanks :D
