Help identifying external floppy drive

#1 Post by coitboy2000 » Sat Dec 01, 2018 3:24 pm

Hi All

I recently purchased a thinkpad PC110 that came with 2 port replicators that have serial, lpt ports etc. The purchase also came with an IBM Corp badged external 3.5 inch floppy drive. The cable appears to have a parallel port plug on the end that obviously plugs into the port replicator but I have no idea if this is wha iit is meant for? Perhaps it actually needs a special pcmcia card that I don't have? I am hoping someone can assist in identifying the floppy and what I might need to get it working in DOS.

I pulled the drive open and found it is a Teac fd-05hg badged device.

Any help appreciated.

Cheers
