Hello
My ibm thinkpad has a problem. When i run a cd it works then makes alot of banging noises and wont read the disk. How fragile is the plastics to open the machine? Thanks

It sounds to me that the motor that moves the laser across the DVD is broken or jammed. Finding a replacement drive shouldn't be more than $30.00 shipped, tear it open and diagnose! :twisted:
