380ED Serial Port vs IR

#1 Post by GeekDad » Wed Feb 10, 2021 9:23 am

I've been resurrecting a 380ED to use as a platform for programming radios and need to activate the serial port. Currently it seems to be set to IR but I don't have the utility needed to do the switch. The 380ED currently has DOS only. No Windows.

What radios are you programming? Sounds like a fun project.

A *very* late reply. I did get the 380ED going and have been using it to program Motorola HT600 and MT1000 handhelds. It works flawlessly.

Now to see about setting up a CF or SD card adapter of some kind instead using Procomm Plus all the time....
