Old IBM ThinkPad display to VGA/HDMI

#1 Post by railes » Thu Jul 08, 2021 7:56 am

Hey everyone, I am working on a project to create a Frankenpad based on Raspberry Pi or any alike small PC computer that is modern at least a bit. And I wanted to connect IBM ThinkPad 600's keyboard and display to Raspberry Pi via usb and HDMI so that it could be used like an old machine with old school experience but with modern operating system.
Does anyone know about how to connect IBM ThinkPad 600's LCD display via HDMI/VGA to another PC? Or at least the display of any other retro TP that was earlier

There are ebay sellers that specialize in LCD controller boards, but you have to know the exact brand/model # of the LCD panel you have, then ask them if they have a compatible controller board.
