i have removed disk and now i can go to the bios, i have enter date and saving bios.
i can boot from disk win98.
but if i put the disk,
i must enter a pasword, when i remove the disk i can enter to setup without supervisor passwodr, i type enterand the word ok is displayed on the screen
but i can't modify otpion.
How do I remove the password from the disk?
When i want to remove password from disk or other,

You'll need to replace that HDD, the password for it is stored on the HDD itself.
And the CMOS should be around 3V, assuming it's a CR2025 or similar.

i will change CMOS, for 390X is CR1220 3v,
I have replaced the disk.
When i replace the disk , i need to enter password that I do not know, the icon is a screen, not a disk, and it fail.
when i remove the disk, i can go to bios when i type return as password, but i can't change options initialize, startup and network on bios
how to know if it is a password (POP) or the supervisor password, the icon is a same?

I managed to change the password which could be saved on the cmos, even if the cmos battery is very low
suddenly it seems to work, but I'm afraid if I deplete the power, the AC cable,
the password comes back, I will try to see, otherwise I should receive the new cmos battery soon.

all work great now,
and I was even able to update the bios with the dead battery by modifying the bios script on the floppy disk, which checked the battery gauge.

If you know the SVP or POP, no need to worry about the CMOS battery.
You can even replace that with the machine running (assuming you put it in in the correct way).
Otherwise you will have to (re)enter date and time.

now that everything is working and I have no more password to enter,
if I put the old disk drive back that had a password, will it work or
should I enter a password for the disk?

Has the hard drive password been cleared?

if i put the hard drive on another laptop, dell or toshiba, will it work?

Thanks.

No.
Like I said before: the password is on that HDD itself, so will also not work in any other laptop.
