Thinkpad 700T not booting...

#1 Post by solidpro » Thu Jan 13, 2022 5:43 am

Does anyone have any experience with the 'first' thinkpad tablet? I have a 700T in excellent condition. It does power up, the backlight comes on but then I just hear two crackly beeps and nothing shows.

When I turn it off, I do see the expected few LCD lines (like any old laptop being powered off).

Wondered if anyone has one, and ideas or suggestions?

Thanks

I have a 2521 that had a similar issue, and now it's completely dead after plugging in the old battery & trying to boot it up with the power cord connected.
I made sure to burn up the braincell that made me think that would work. :screwy:
