380E won't detect any additional RAM?

#1 Post by solidpro » Sat Jun 04, 2022 5:45 am

Hey all

I've a 380E which is in really good shape. Has 16Mb onboard and a slot on the base for an upgrade. The stick that was in wasn't detected but looked like it had worked loose, however, it still isn't detected.

Tried bunch of other sticks and no matter what I put in, it just behaves like there is no stick. Given the connectors a wipe with IPA and still no go. Deoxit worth a spray?

Any ideas?

Thanks

I didn't realise that it required EDO ram. Put a 64Mb in and got 80Mb RAM! Brilliant!
