IBM PC110 boot from internal flash issue

#1 Post by coitboy2000 » Sat Aug 13, 2022 8:34 am

Hi All,

I decided to pull out my old PC110 and have a play. A few years back I remember creating all sorts of CF Flash cards with DOS7, Win95, 3.11 etc and they all still boot fine. What I have forgotten how to do is just boot the original PWare interface from the 4MB internal flash memory ? If I enter the bios and set HDD-1 as the first boot drive I get an"invalid system disk, please remove ...". If I set the PCMCIA drive as boot drive 1 (CF with MSDOS7) and HDD-1 as the second drive HDD-1 I boot into DOS7 ok and I can see the internal 4MB flash is mounted as Drive D. Drive D has autoexec.bat, config.sys and all the right files to boot PWare I think. Why can't I boot from the internal flash memory ? Perhaps I have fiddled with PS2.exe or something ?

Any help appreciated.

Richard
