755C hinge issue

I got a 755C in today for repair/restoration. She boots just fine thankfully, but has some hinge troubles. No plastic has actually broken - but the brass screw inserts at the lid are loose within the plastic, so the hinges aren't secure. This plastic is very heat resistant (carbon fiber reinforced polymer) so I can't just melt them back into place. I've tried JB Weld but I have my doubts that it will hold. We'll see when it cures.
This seems to be a rather common issue with these - I was wondering if anyone here (pssst, solidpro) has found a good way to fix it?

Thanks,
astral

If there is enough space you could also use superglue+soda to fix the plastic.

This won’t work because no plastic is actually broken. I don’t think superglue will hold a connection from plastic to metal.

It's hard to say without a picture, but superglue makes a extremely strong compound if mixed with baking soda. Just not sure if this method is suitable in your case.
