Replacement HDD cable for 750C

#1 Post by sjmtlewy » Wed Apr 16, 2025 1:39 pm

I need a replacement for a knackered HDD cable in my 750c. A couple of the wires are not connected leading to the drive only spinning up when you bend it a certain way. Does anyone know of a UK source or would be willing to sell me one?

The cable is the one that sits within the disk caddy and goes from the 44pin IDE connector to the mainboard connector and is labelled D43122.

Cheers
Tim

But it's in the US, and you're in the UK....

I might have one. I'm in the UK. Can you share a high resolution pic of your one?

Thanks for the offer. I've actually managed to salvage it by soldering on a new 2x22pin header strip. Hard drive is dead as well, but a CF card has come to the rescue.

Now I just need to figure out the capacitor specs in the display to solve the intermittent backlight.

Ok cool. If it all goes pear shaped let me know because I'm looking for a 750 motherboard to fix my one!
