motherboard that got wet.

Hey guys, I have a motherboard that got wet, and when i hit the power button, it turns on but nothing else, any one got any idea's to fix it.

Open it up and use a hair dryer to dry it out then try starting it again? It could be there is some water still in it shorting it out(?).

Thanks warp-guy, i baught the motherboard off ebay, claiming it has gotten wet befor,
could it still be wet?

No, it shouldn't still be wet. If it got wet while power was on something is definitely shorted out. No telling what, and no easy way to check. But you might be lucky -- could have just caused a little corrosion around connectors. Pull everything, clean, and reinsert. If that doesn't work try replacing all removeable items with known good ones. It's most likely just a parts board though.
