770/ED Memory Help

#1 Post by Guitarstar » Thu Aug 04, 2005 2:45 pm

I just added two 128 memory modules to my computer and the system doesn't report 256 plus the onboard memory, it reports 228mb on start up. One memory module is a Samsung and one is a Toshiba, could I have a mismatch problem, or is there something else I'm over looking ?

Thanks for any help.

The 770ED uses 66Mhz RAM. If it's like the model 600, it may not read all of the RAM installed if the frequency doesn't match the original RAM. Here is the type of RAM you should use.
