Transnote in rebooting loop

#1 Post by Sejanus » Sat Aug 06, 2005 10:37 am

Hello,

I recently got a nice Transnote from ebay, reinstalled the OS from f11 and all seemed well until I attempted to update it from the Windows Update site. At some point during the Sp4 update it bluescreened and I thought it was overheating, so turned it off for a while and then rebooted. It scandisked and proceeded to load Win2000P and got to the point where it should have shown the desktop but kept booting over and over after that. After a while it just showed the IBM ThinkPad screen instead of going into a reboot and that's where it sits now. I tried safemode, last good config, etc. but it didn't help.

As I'm new to thinkpads (but not computers in general) I'm wondering if there's some key I can press during bootup or some other fix. I had the system just about the way I wanted it and it would be a shame to have to reinstall the OS from scratch.

Thanks
