#1 Post by venro » Sun Aug 07, 2005 7:14 am

hi !

i have some unusuall problem. When i have 24 bits on every resolutions (800x600, 1024x768, 60/85 Hz) laptop won't display colors propertly on some actions. Films are with bads like black lines. Charts on Speedfan are also scrappy. On Adobe Photoshop CS pictures after filtering don't refresh. Changing drivers didn't help, i've tried MS drivers and from ibm.com. When i change colors to 16 bits problem disappear. Please help. My model is: IBM 600E 2645-4AU.

I don't remember if the 600E has this feature or not, but I think it does. Right click on an open area of the desktop, choose properties, then settings, then advanced, then on one of the tabs (perhaps labeled troubleshoot) there should be a setting for hardware acceleration. Adjust it to the minimum setting, or turn it off. See if that fixes your problem.

Thanks. It works for everythink besides movies, but that's not that important to me. For that i can change from 24 to 16 bits.
