internal wireless - 600x

#1 Post by scoot1212 » Mon Aug 15, 2005 10:24 am

does anybody know which wireless card will fit in place of the modem? I have the IBM wireless from a T30 (xircom) it is a just a little bit to big. I also saw 10 cm antenna's that I was thinking about getting instead of going up the side of the LCD.
thanks
scott

The Intel 2200BG will fit. And 10cm is is nearly 4 inches. That won't fit.

I've put two antennae into a 600X, but I broke one, and the range wasn't good, and I still need the modem sometimes, so I took it out.

Get leads about 13 or 14" long if you can, and put the antennae around the display (mine are still in place), and any card that fits should work.

thanks, I actually had a 600 open and there seemed to be enough room to put the antenna's on the base. I wanted to add internal wireless because more often than not I use both pcmcia's slot with various cards and wanted to make the shuffle a little easier. I'm not sure if I'll get the longer ones and go up the side of the LCD or not.
thanks
scott
