760XD DC Converter Replacement

I've recently experienced a moisture problem in my 760XD and believe the DC/DC Converter has failed. I've purchased a replacement at what I thought was a fair price (otherwise I was going to dump the unit).
Can anyone offer instructions for disassembly and access to the DC Converter for the 760XD? This will be my lazy son's summer project (crosses both fingers)!!

Have you read the forum FAQ yet? There's a link to the hardware maintenance manual in there.

The 760 series is only hard to take apart and rebuild the first few times you service them. Just be careful to undo those two tiny screws on the back of the computer right above to the left and right of the infrared sensor. Not doing so before screen removal can result in a broken LCD cable. It's a very common mistake.
As for the sites selling those manuals, yup, you'd better believe it. However, some of the sites that offer actual hard copies that were printed by IBM are legit but nonetheless, I wouldn't order from any of them just because IBM has the free download.
