"Exploding" screen size for older games on Thinkpa

#1 Post by bozz » Sun Aug 21, 2005 3:44 pm

I currently have a Thinkpad 600 2645-51U that I have migrated to windows xp. During a move, I lost the IBM manual and cannot remember if it is possible to explode a screen size. Currently I use the laptop when I go on business trips. Well since some trips are so long, I installed Fallout and Fallout 2 just to have something do. The games run fine except for the black border because of the screen size changes. Is there a way to explode the screen size to remove the black borders through CMOS? I have tried using windows xp emulation mode for the games to run in 640x480 and that does not work. I have looked on the forum to see if I could find a way with a fn+ key combination. No such luck. Is it possible or am I stuck with trying to read the text on the small screen? Thanks.

That would be, as on most ThinkPads, Fn+F8.

Thanks for the information. I will try both recommendations.
