thinkpad390x screen problem

#1 Post by charlyw » Thu Sep 01, 2005 3:10 pm

Hello

I'm the happy owner/user of an "old" ibm thinkpad390x. While it's not
a brand new laptop, it runs very decently for me. But lately I've been having some weird screen problems that got me pulling my hair out!

Most of time, the lapton runs Ok but some times and for some unknow reason, the laptop boots up with the screen background in green! When the desktop of Win2000 finally shows up, everything is mixed with green!

But what really drives me crazy is that, after some time, the laptop resumes its normal operation and the screen looks nice again.

A few months ago, I had the laptop checked by an IBM service, who fixed up the problem and told that they had to "reset" tht screen to remove some static charge.

If anyone could give me some help, I would appreciate

Thanks
