Other Brand Drives

I am looking to buy a combo CDRW/DVD drive for my 600E. Can I buy any slimline style IDE drive and use my exisiting cdrom rails/caddy? Are there only particular brands I should be looking at that will physically work?

Yes and LG Electronics.

But the faceplate won't match the front of the 600 and you might have to file/grind it down a tad to fit.

Search for FASTMOTT on eBay.
