I am new here so I wasnt sure were to post this, anyways my 380z thinkpad is having a problem. I am running off of a window 98 SE and it is working fine. Then suddenly out of the blue it would not start up. When ever I turned it on then it would sound as if it were about to start up and then all the lights on the top would flash once and then it would start again and all the lights would flash again. I tryed using the start up floppy disk but it didnt work because the screen would be completely black and the lights would still be flashing. I dont know what to do, please help....

Wrong Z series. This forum is for the new Z60t and Z60m laptops. You should look in the Legacy Hardware section.

Welcome to the forums, Gohan! Trip is correct, the 380z is not one of the new Z series machines. I've moved the thread here so that 300 series owners can better assist you

First off, take a deep breath and relax.
Now, flip your machine over so you can see the underside. Locate the reset button, it's a small button that's going to either be yellow, blue, red or green (on my 380ED it's blue.) When you've located it, use a pen or paperclip to press and hold the button down for about ten seconds and while holding it, flip the power switch a few times. See if that yeilds any positive result.
