Hi everyone,
I got a tp600e that last month has been killed by (me) inverting erroneously the polarity of the plug on the car lighter switching power supply. After realizing(smelling) that something was wrong and obviously unplugging it I noticed that the laptop could still power on properly using the battery (no way wth the power supply of course)
I'm trying to fix it
I replaced the LM324A a 14 pins smd quad amp that was clearly gone and now the power supply is working again but the battery doesn't get charged; on the external pins of the battery space I measure 2.4V nevertheless the orange led stays on even when I unplug the AC cord.

(That's why on my previous post I was looking for the schematics of the board)

Any help is really appreciated!

There is probably some other component on the DC/DC card (that's the one the AC adapter plugs into). I usually don't suggest component level replacement, since the card itself can be bought for a few dollars on Ebay, or salvaged from another 600 or 600E (but not the X, I think).

If you are still insistent on finding another component to replace, I would look for some chip fuses, chip diodes, or transistor that have fried.

on my tp the socket in which I plug the power supply in is soldered on the system board. I can' t find any card
