I need to change the parallel port setting on an old 380D.
I have searched the boards and it looks as though the simplest way is to do this from config utility having booted into the OS, but I need to make the change from within BIOS.
I have used F1 to get to Easy-Setup but there does not appear to be any way to access the parallel port setting from the available options.
Any help would be useful

Find the IBM Configuration Utility on the IBM support site and install that on the computer.
It's a software that rus under Windows but that's how you'll need to change the settings. Once you make a hardware setting change, the computer will restart and the BIOS will adjust to that specified setting.

There is no way to do it in the BIOS.
IBM made config utilities for Windows... and for DOS. So you can make a DOS boot floppy: A Windows boot disk will do, or FreeDOS or whatever. Then get IBM's DOS config utility and run that. It will make the changes in the BIOS settings, and you can then do whatever mysterious thing you need to do.
I'm not sure that the Linux utility will work on that machine, but if you can use that, give it a try too.
