How do I use the Fn key?

On my 600e I have a Fn key in the bottom left corner of the keyboard. Some of the other keys are blue in colour, and respond to being pressed along with the Fn key to produce different results. However, the programme I use wants me to press the grey+ key, which would be on the numeric keypad if I had one. How do I get this keycode into the prog - I tried using Fn plus the key which would be the grey+ but this did not work. I think there must be a combination of numlock / Fn / letterkey which would do this, can anyone tell me what it is? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like you need to enable the imbedded "keypad?"

Here's a link to the support page for your 600e

Here's a link to the user manual download:

I believe on the 600E it is the same as my T42. I used to have a 600E, but I don't remember for sure.

Try pressing the Shift key along with the ScrLk (or NumLk) key.

Thanks both of you. The shift-numlock works to allow me to use the keypad keys. I shall download and look at all the support documents, which I did not get with my second-hand laptop.
