lCD 2 VGA???

Hello from Greece,
I want to connect the LCD screen in the back part of my thinkpad 770 laptop with my VGA.
I will use the computer for navigation, so i placed the body of thinkpad in the down part of seat and i want the screen of thinkpad front me
Any help please to becomes this connection lcd with vga???

Let me see if I have this right - you want to turn the built-in LCD panel of this laptop as a "divorced" unit (as is in no longer physically connected to the rest of the machine except for the video signals and power)?

Doesn't a 770 have a VGA port on the back for connecting an external monitor that you can use (with an external monitor), or am I misunderstanding what you're trying to do?

It is not possible to connect the LCD screen directly to the VGA port alone (and work) as it only has VGA signals and the LCD also requires power for the backlight. As someone else suggested (in your duplicate thread) you might consider extending the cables (video and power) from the base to screen.

Yes he have external VGA post, but me i want to conect in this port my LCD!!
I want the pin diagrams of my LCD (p.s. R-G-B-ground-+sinchro +- volt etc) to conect in external VGA port!!!!, i want to use my laptop like "carpc"
