Z380 Suspend Mode?

#1 Post by ThinkAgain » Sat Dec 24, 2005 2:29 pm

The Z380 that I inherited was used in wireless mode, with a CardBus Ethernet PCMCIA Card. The battery is dead. I had been running the Z380
with an adapter, when all of a sudden it slowly shut down on me, and I
couldn't re-start it...

The Suspend Mode Indicator Light stays on--does this mean the Z380
settings cause it to shut down like that? If so, how do I get it running again?

Or did the machine just die out completely?

Thanks for any replies!

If it's in suspend mode you should be able to wake it up either by hitting the FN key or shutting the lid and re-opening it.

If you can't wake it up, since there's no battery, you should be able to just pull the plug for about 5 or 10 seconds then be able to power the machine on again after plugging it back in.

I also believe there might be some stuff aboutthis stashed away in the FAQ.

I turned the 380Z on again, but it shut down yet again. The Green Suspend Mode Indicator Light stays on.

None of those remedies work, and I can't get into Power Management to change any settings when the machine won't stay on long enough....
