Replace?reinstall key from keyboard ?

#1 Post by parangles » Wed Jan 11, 2006 8:51 pm

I was cleaning the keyboard of a 560 a bit violently with a brush and one of the keys flew off the keyboard. It seems to be Ok but I cant get it back on.
There are two pairs of drop down legs with 4 [censored] and corresponding holes on the base of the keyboard, but I cannot figure how to fit it back on. Is there an easy technique for this or should I just struggle patiently for another hour ?

Thanks!

Try slowly lifting a nearby key, and remove it if you have to, so that you can see how it works.

Also, there is a thread in here somewhere that explains in general how to do it, but i think it was for a different system.

An attitude of.... ' I really don't care if it won't go back on '
... is essential. I got it back on just by gently fiddling with it only when
I was in the mood. Thanks for all the encouragement.
Chris.
