getting the most out of a 240

#1 Post by josephC » Wed Jan 18, 2006 8:41 pm

Following on my earlier post, I have some further questions about this gem:

1. What is the largest HD that can be fitted?
2. Is 256m the largest RAM module that will fit? Will 512M work?
3. Has anyone tried XPlite to trim down XP for easier/faster run on 240?
4. (post again) is the 1024x768 option usable?

My machine is a 300 celeron 2609-21H.

Thanks.

1. Any size you want. I like the Samsung a lot, very quiet.
2. 256 meg is largest, yes. I found that only 16-chip low-density SODIMM like KingMax TinyBGA memory seems to work and recognize all 256.
3. No
4. No
