500 parts to 510cs case?

I have a non-working 510cs. I also have a 500. I'm wondering if I could take the motherboard out of the 500 and put it into the 510cs and have a color screen. Is this at all possible because it seems the ports line up(except for the back panel but I think you can change it) and it is the same size.

I used to have both of these models. I don't think it will work because the connectors for the LCDs are different with different power requirements.
