Boot issues
Boot issues
I just recently got a 600e off of ebay. When the guy shipped it it was working and booted fine. Now, it wont boot. it just idles with the yellow and green light on. Ive taken the hd/cdrom out and still nothing. Ive tried using it with just the batter, and just a ac cord nothing. It wont even show the bios or anything. I also hooked it up to a external monitor with no help.

Normally, it gives you codes like 160 and 163, BUT CMOS batteries can be tricky...they tend to cause strange things to happen. You could always go to Wal-Mart and pick up the correct watch battery and replace it yourself...cheap and could prevent you from spending the money on a mobo. If it doesn't work, then you are only out $2-3. You can search for a thread that lists the correct battery #, and how to change the battery itself.
