Need 760C DOS Drivers! NOT WINDOWS 9X!!!! :(

I've been looking everywhere for DOS drivers for my 760C (NOT Win9x drivers... yes I've seen the IBM driver matrix already). The 755CD MWave drivers work in the 760C, so I've got the sound & modem working. The most crucial driver I need at this point is the PCMCIA drivers.

Anyone know if they even exist?

Plz help :(

Of COURSE they do!!

Have you seen this:

http://forum.thinkpads.com/viewtopic.php?t=20293

which lead to here:

http://greyghost.dyndns.org/pccbbs/

Read the index text in the main folder

or go here:

http://mobilerev.pixelart.com.pl/?mode=karta&ID=108

Doing a page search for "dos" yields:

pctpgw31.exe

PC Card Director (v4.07) for DOS and Windows 3.1: ThinkPad 345C, 345CS, 365X, 365XD, 560, 560E, 760C, 760CD, 760E, 760ED, 760EL, 760ELD, 760L, 760LD, 760XD, 760XL, 765D, 765L

Here's an interesting read:

http://www-307.ibm.com/pc/support/site. ... K9QLZ.html

pctpgw31.txt plugged into Googe yields interesting stuff.

Conclusion: Go to

http://greyghost.dyndns.org/pccbbs/

and at least start by reading the index, then download at least pctpgw31.txt and the matching exe file.

All this took about 3 minutes on Google.

Well, if I told you it really took me more like 10 minutes, you wouldn't have been as impressed. Seriously, don't know what we'll do when "everybody" stops hosting those old files.

I feel like those of us with legacy Thinkpads should consider ourselves as the archivers of these files (at least for the Thinkpads we own). I know I've kept all my DOS, WIN3.1, and/or WIN95 drivers for my TP360 and 365X... just in case any one needs them.

Like leoblob, I've saved drivers for a 701 and a 560Z if anyone is in need.

Re 440roadrunner's concern, it's probably a good idea to grab everything you think you might need while they're still available.
